Brass Plaque: This Plaque Has Been Erected by the People of Chediston to Commemorate the Bravery of the Crew of a Vickers Wellington Bomber Mk. 1C. DV930, Tx-o, 11 Operational Training Unit, Steeple Morden on the Night of 10th-11th September 1942 the Above Aircraft Took Off from Steeple Morden at 21.05 Hours and Crashed in Flames into the Stack Yard of Herne Hill Farm, Chediston at 23.45 Hours, After Returning from a Raid on Dusseldorf in Germany.
