What Happened

Halifax W7913 of 102 Squadron, coded DY-C, departed Pocklington at 0145 on 3 December 1942 for Frankfurt. The aircraft was intercepted at 4500m over Resteigne by Unteroffizier Dieter Ericsen of 2/NJG4 and shot down at 0355, his first claim. The aircraft crashed at Les Brulins. All eight crew were killed.
