Lancaster W4904 from 1667 Heavy Conversion Unit crashed after encountering icing conditions during a Bullseye training flight from Faldingworth. The aircraft entered a steep unrecoverable dive and suffered structural break-up in mid-air, with wreckage scattered over two miles near Moor Monkton and Marston Moor.
