The American Air Museum records B-24J 42-50452 'Earthquake McGoon' of the 566th Bomb Squadron, 389th Bomb Group based at Hethel. The aircraft collided with 44-10513 'Old Glory' during formation assembly on 21 November 1944. Pilot Lt Alfred Brooks was the sole survivor from this aircraft, with 17 total killed across both planes.
