The Bomber Command Museum of Canada (formerly Nanton Lancaster Society Museum) opened in 1986 to preserve Lancaster FM159, one of only 17 remaining Lancasters worldwide. The museum's Lancaster has all four engines operational and can taxi under its own power, one of only four such aircraft globally. The aircraft is displayed in the livery of FM-159 'T for Tommy', the Lancaster in which Ian Bazalgette VC was killed on 4 August 1944.
